“Ninja Spinner” Japanese Set Featuring Mega Greninja Officially Revealed for March

The next big Japanese Pokémon TCG release is officially on the way. Creatures Inc. has revealed “Ninja Spinner”, a new set starring Mega Greninja ex, scheduled to launch in Japan on 13 March as the ME4 set.

This latest expansion will include 83 cards in the main set. Based on past set sizes of similar expansions, that suggests around 35 to 40 secret rares, bringing the rough total card count to about 120 cards overall.

The community first became aware of Ninja Spinner through trademark filings eight months ago- Now that the official reveal is out, fans can start planning their collections.

Mega Evolutions Returning, But Not the Very Latest

Ninja Spinner continues to feature the new Mega Evolutions introduced in October’s Pokémon Legends Z-A. However, it does not include the Mega Evolutions revealed in December’s Mega Dimension DLC. This distinction is important for collectors and players tracking which mechanic eras each set represents.

English Release Plans

For fans outside Japan, the set is not far off. The cards from Ninja Spinner will be included in the English set releasing on 22 May. While no English product images or full card lists have been released yet, preorders are expected to open in early March, a few weeks ahead of Perfect Order’s 27 March release.

Forgotten Pokémon Finally Get New Cards

Part of the excitement around this set is which Pokémon are making their long-awaited returns to the TCG. With Ninja Spinner, some previously overlooked species will finally get new cards.

Quilladin had held the distinction of being the “most forgotten Pokémon,” last appearing on a card in 2015. Before that, Budew held the record from 2009 until 2025. With Ninja Spinner, however, the title of most forgotten now goes to Brionne, which has not appeared on a card since 2018.
