Mega Evolution delayed in the UK?

Huge news for Pokémon TCG fans: the Mega Evolution expansion has been delayed in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) to Friday, 10 October 2025. The Pokémon TCG UK team confirmed the slip from 26 September, citing delivery challenges. North America is still slated for 26 September as of the announcement.

That change compresses the runway to the next English set, Phantasmal Flames, which is currently scheduled for Friday, 14 November 2025, with prereleases running 1–9 November. That’s just 5 weeks after Mega Evolution lands in EMEA.

What this means for players and collectors

Shorter chase window. With only five weeks between sets, expect rapid price movement on early Mega Evolution hits as attention swings to Phantasmal Flames.
Event planning. If you’re in EMEA, Mega Evolution cards won’t be legal at official events until 24 October, two weeks after the new date. Local stores may adjust event calendars accordingly; always check listings.
No change announced for Phantasmal Flames. As of today, Phantasmal Flames is still set for 14 November. If TPCi updates that timing, we’ll update this post immediately.

Why the delay?

Per the Offical Pokemon UK statement, the issue is logistics affecting EMEA product delivery. The message stressed efforts to have stock available by 10 October. Other regions appear unaffected for now.
