Terms and Conditions for the Purchase of Graded Trading Cards
Introduction
1. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the purchase of graded trading cards by OBSIDIA GROUP (UK) LTD ("we", "us", "our", or “OBSIDIA TCG”) from individuals or entities ("you", "the seller"). By engaging with our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. These Terms are effective from 29 May 2025.
Eligibility and Scope
3. We purchase graded trading cards from the following categories:
- Pokémon – All languages accepted
- One Piece – English and Japanese only
4. We accept cards graded by the following recognised grading companies:
- PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator)
- Ace Grading
Appraisal and Pricing
5. All graded cards will be appraised individually to ensure fair and accurate market-based pricing.
6. Offers for shop credit typically range between 80% and 85% of the current market value, while cash offers usually range between 70% and 75%.
7. Due to market volatility, the same card may receive different quotes at different times.
Quote Process and Validity
8. We aim to respond to all quote requests within 2 business days. Larger collections may require additional time.
9. Once issued, a quote is valid for 7 calendar days. Items must be dispatched to us within this period.
10. If items are dispatched after the 7-day window, a new appraisal will be carried out. If you reject the revised quote, you are responsible for arranging the return collection of your items.
Inspection and Approval
11. Upon receipt, items will be inspected and either approved or rejected within 2 business days.
12. Items that do not match the original submission in condition or grading may be rejected or re-appraised at our discretion.
Shipping and Collection
13. You must arrange and pay for shipping to us independently.
14. We do not provide shipping and will not be liable for goods lost in transit.
Payment Terms
15. Payment will be made via PayPal or Bank Transfer, usually on the same day the appraisal is approved.
16. If payment is not received within 24 hours of confirmation, please contact us promptly.
17. We are not liable for lost payments due to incorrect PayPal or bank details provided by you.
General Information
18. You may sell a single card or an entire collection—no sale is too big or too small.
19. Our aim is to purchase rare and high-value cards, but we consider all offers individually.
20. The headings in these Terms and Conditions are for convenience only and will not affect their interpretation.
21. Words imparting the singular include the plural and vice-versa.
Liability and Disputes
22. Our liability is limited to the terms outlined above.
23. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
24. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
25. OBSIDIA GROUP (UK) LTD reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time without prior notice. The latest version will always be available upon request or on our website.
